Baldwin Avenue’s popular Thai restaurant Pr&ince has officially relocated and opened in downtown (80 Wayne Street btwn Barrow & Jersey Ave). The BYOB restaurant is know for its Southeast Asian dishes. —JC Eats
NYC may charge extra fee for Lyft/Uber ride
If you’ve ever taken a ride-hailing service from New York to Jersey City, get ready to pay a surcharge. New York officials are looking into adding a “congestion fee” to services such as Lyft and Uber, which a new report alleges are largely to blame for the city’s congestion problem. The report found that these services spend an average of 11 minutes of unoccupied time on busy city streets versus yellow taxis, which according to the report only spend 8 minutes looking for their next customer. Yellow taxi passengers already pay a 50-cent surcharge that goes to the MTA. —NYT
