A new cocktail bar and restaurant recently opened in Harborside. The District is now open at 210 Hudson Street, in what was formerly Manny’s District.
The new eatery, which is offering lunch, dinner, and happy hour specials, is operated by Five Tastes founder and Eleven Madison Park alum, Cedric Gayon. For The District, Gayon has created a diverse menu that includes Japanese dishes such as maki rolls and nigiri/sashimi, as well as pastas, burgers, and steak. For lunch, diners can choose between various pizzas and a wide variety of sandwiches, with both meat and veggie-only options.
The District’s drink menu is equally diverse with a wide selection of rums, whiskey, tequila, and mezcal. There are also plenty of cocktail options with fun names like the Dirty River Martini and Little Tortilla Boy.
In terms of atmosphere, The District has kept much of Manny’s vibe with pool tables, chairs, and bar stools spread throughout the spacious dining area.
