Earlier this month, we reported that Box Spring restaurant was moving to 281 Grove Street (former home of More restaurant). Now we’ve learned that Archer Bar will take over Box Spring’s former space on 176 Newark Avenue (between Jersey Avenue and Bay Street). Archer Bar made a soft debut at last weekend’s Project Eats festival and is expected to open sometime this September. Based on Archer Bar’s social networks, it looks like it will be part bar, part restaurant. Hopefully they’ll make good use of the space, which was also the former home of the much-loved, but now defunct Ox Restaurant. —Archer Bar
