Good news for fans of Hooked and online delivery.
The Bergen Lafayette-based seafood shack is expanding its footprint with three new delivery-only restaurants: Comfort Cookery, Lit Burger, and Green Things.
Like its namesake suggests, Comfort Cookery specializes in southern comfort food with entrees such as Shepherd’s Pie ($14), Oven-Roasted Whole Chicken ($12), and Slow-Braised Beef Short Ribs ($14). Sides/apps range from $4 to $8, whereas main entrees vary from $12 to $18.
Lit Burger offers a range of 7-oz. burgers ($9 to $13) and 1/4-lb. hot dogs ($4 to $8). Standout items include the Bacon Bleu Burger ($12; applewood smoked bacon with melted bleu cheese) and the Taco Dog ($7; roasted jalepeno, pico do gallo, black beans, guac, and ranchero sauce on a 1/4-lb. dog).
For non-meat eaters, Green Things dishes out entree-size salads with endless add-on options (although keep in mind those endless add-ons will cost from $0.50 to $1.75). A personal favorite on Green Things’ menu is the Kale Caesar (pictured above), a delicious and hearty salad with a house-made dressing and giant, crunchy croutons that’s also served at Hooked. Salad prices range from $7 to $12 and salads can be prepared veggie only or with your choice of protein (proteins cost an extra $5 to $12).
Finally for Hooked fans, the BYOB seafood shack is now making deliveries via DoorDash. Deliveries are not available in all areas, so you’ll definitely want to check that first. You can also follow Comfort Cookery via Instagram.
