Jersey City has no shortage of luxury high rises, but one apartment in Newport is setting a new record when it comes to luxury.
Priced at $10,995 per month, Penthouse 5 at the newly opened Ellipse has won the distinction of being Jersey City’s most expensive rental.
The 2,300-square-foot apartment features four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and panoramic views of the Hudson and New York skyline. Due to the Ellipse’s unique design, the penthouse has a rather unconventional (i.e. oblong) floor plan. Nevertheless, the striking home has a private terrace, floor-to-ceiling windows, hardwood oak floors, and features all of the luxury amenities that come with living at the 41-story Ellipse.
That includes 24,000-square-feet of amenity space with a built-in co-working space, a children’s playroom, a gym that overlooks the New York skyline, and an outdoor pool and barbecue area.
If $10k is too rich for your blood, there are five additional four- and three-bedroom penthouse suites which just came to market at the Ellipse starting at $6,250 per month. They include:
- Penthouse 1: (1,603 square feet, three bedrooms, three bathrooms) $6,250/mo
- Penthouse 2: (2,024 square feet, four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, w/ private terrace) $9,495/mo
- Penthouse 3: (1,975 square feet, three bedrooms, three bathrooms) $6,995/mo
- Penthouse 4: (1,674 square feet, three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, w/ private terrace) $7,495/mo
Designed by Miami’s Arquitectonica, the Ellipse — which is already over 60 percent leased — sits at the very edge of the Newport waterfront. Residents who live at the Ellipse also have Newport Green and its urban beach at their doorstep (although with all those amenities — is there even a need to leave your home?)
