Hold the avocado toast. Omakase restaurant Sushi by Bou will offer brunch service at its Jersey City speakeasy beginning this weekend.
Located inside the backroom at Ani Ramen — 218A Newark Avenue — lunch will follow the same timed omakase format as the restaurant’s dinners. That means you’ll have 60 minutes to enjoy 12 pieces of sushi. (We tried it and it’s more than enough time). Just like dinner, lunch will cost $50/pp.
The menu at Sushi by Bou offers a mix of locally sourced and seasonal fish. Diners sit at an 8-seat sushi counter as chefs serve you each course directly.
There’s also a cocktail menu that includes sakes, signature cocktails, Japanese beers, and whiskies. Lunch will be served Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm to 3pm. You can make reservations online via their website.
