Stack Creamery now open on Central Avenue
There’s a new ice cream shop in the Heights. Stack Creamery has officially opened at 465 Central Avenue. The New Jersey-based shop is renown for its ice cream sandwiches. The sandwiches are all fully customizable letting you pick the cookie flavor, ice cream flavor, and toppings. You can even mix-and-match cookie flavors to create a sandwich with an M&Ms top and s’mores bottom.
A new speakeasy opens at Hudson Hound
Nucky’s is a new speakeasy located in the basement of Hudson Hound Jersey City. The space, formerly home to Miss Wong’s, has been designed to look like a 1920s prohibition bar. The speakeasy is currently open on a first come, first served basis. You can give them a follow on Instagram for updates.
Cafe opening inside Liberty Wine & Deli
Paulus Hook wine shop Liberty Wine & Deli is adding a cafe to its storefront at 200 Washington, reports Hoboken Girl. The cafe will offer Intelligentsia coffee, Balthazar Bakery pastries, and organic teas courtesy of Kilogram tea. (It’ll be a somewhat similar concept to the CoolVines Powerhouse market, which opened a few years back).
JC libraries to require face masks
Despite the CDC’s new guidelines, the Jersey City Free Public Library is requiring all visitors to continue wearing face masks while at the library. “At this time, the Library continues to require all staff and patrons to use masks and practice social distancing indoors and outdoors,” stated an e-mail from the library. The library is undergoing a phased reopening, which you can track via its website.
Jersey City & Hoboken Citi Bike program officially launches
City will add two new Citi Bike stations in Greenville within the first 60 days. Within the next two years, there will be 15 additional stations (with 75% of all new stations being built outside of downtown).
