Rising chef Ryan DePersio of Battello, Fascino, and Nico Kitchen + Bar fame is said to be taking over the Thirty Acres space in downtown Jersey City. The Kitchen Step, as DePersio’s restaurant will be called, is expected to open in early 2016 and it will serve “a wide-ranging but affordable and market-driven modern American menu” that will include brick-roasted chicken, mahi mahi tacos, and Asian-spiced tuna tartar. —NJ.com
