From Duckhorn Vineyards to Veuve Clicquot, Ruth’s Chris is bringing its TasteMaker Dinner Series to Jersey City.
The curated dinners let you sample wines — and champagne — from award-winning vineyards while enjoying special entrees that typically aren’t offered on Ruth’s Chris’ menu.
Each 5-course dinner complements the wine chosen for that night. Upcoming TasteMaker dinners at Ruth’s Chris Jersey City include:
- Duckhorn Vineyards: Thursday, June 20
- Veuve Clicquot: Thursday, August 22
- Caymus Vineywards: Thursday, October 10
- Stags’ Leap Winery: Thursday, November 7
“It’s very exciting for us to develop recipes that differ from our core menu and pour wines that aren’t typically available by the glass,” said Andy Ortiz, executive chef at Ruth’s Chris Jersey City.
On June 20, Ruth’s Chris Jersey City will offer wines from Napa Valley’s Duckhorn Vineyards, which has won accolades from Wine Spectator and Conde Nast Traveler. (Reservations are $115/pp). The dinner includes entrees such as fried oysters, smoked duck, Cajun-crusted Prime Strip carpaccio, and more.
“Each of the TasteMaker dinners have pushed us chefs to create one-of-a-kind food and wine pairings, and the Duckhorn Vineyards dinner is no exception,” said Ortiz.
Ruth’s Chris Jersey City opened its doors this past summer at 499 Washington Boulevard. The 11,750 square-foot restaurant is open seven days a week and offers daily happy hour specials and outdoor seating.
“We see the Jersey City community as part of our family and we strive to create the best dishes for them,” said Ortiz.
