Hamilton Park is getting a touch of Havana.
Rumba Cubana — which currently has locations in North Bergen and West New York — is opening its first Jersey City location at Hamilton Square. The Cuban restaurant will be located at the base of Silverman’s new 99-unit Park Francis luxury rental.
The restaurant prides itself in offering real Cuban food, which it describes as a mix of Spanish, African, and Caribbean cuisine. Entrees at its other locations include Cuban classics such as arroz con pollo (chicken with rice), ropa vieja (slow-cooked shredded beef in tomato, garlic, onions, and pepper sauce), and of course, a variety of Cuban sandwiches.
The restaurant is expected to open this fall.
