Yelp’s list of the top 100 places to eat in the United States is out and Jersey City’s own Razza has made the list. Located at 275 Grove Street, the pizzeria has won acclaims from dozens of media outlets, including The New York Times.
“At Razza, traditional and artisanal pizzas are made “the Italian way,” in which locality and seasonality are factored into every decision,” reads Yelp’s Top 100 list. Chef and owner Dan Richer has spent years perfecting the art of making Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizzas. A James Beard Foundation Rising Star Chef semi-finalist, Richer most recently wrote a book on the art of pizza-making. (We’re also fans of Razza and have listed the restaurant in our best pizza in Jersey City guide).
Razza is the only Jersey City restaurant to make the list. It joins ShabuRo in Palisades Park as the only New Jersey restaurants on Yelp’s list.
