A new convenience store has opened at 262 Newark Avenue (just off Monmouth Street). While we wish the new business all the best, that unfortunately means that Tea NJ has permanently closed.
The vegan cafe had been closed for weeks and only recently was its logo removed and replaced with new signage for Prime Studio Convenience Store. Tea NJ was not only one of our favorite vegan spots, but also carried great tea, coffee, and vegan pastries. The cafe also regularly held poetry readings, open mic nights, and showcased the artwork of local artists.
As for Prime Studio Convenience Store, it looks like it could open in the very near future.
