A new Thai restaurant recently opened on Central Avenue in the Heights. Phan Thai has taken over the space formerly occupied by Sabor a Maiz at 408 Central Avenue.
The BYOB restaurant offers an assortment of fried and grilled Thai dishes including entrees like khao moo grob (crispy pork belly), khao kai tod (fried chicken with rice), and khao kha moo (pork stew with Chinese broccoli). Entree prices are all $15 or less and appetizers are also modestly priced at under $6.
A note to vegetarians: Other than a few appetizers, there aren’t many veggie friendly dishes at Phan Thai. The vast majority of the menu (which you can see via Seamless) is pork or beef.
Phan Thai is open seven days a week for takeout, delivery, and limited dine-in.
