Panera Bread just made it a little easier to do your grocery shopping. The company just announced the launch of Panera Grocery, a new service designed to deliver pantry items.
Effective immediately, shoppers can order pantry items like milk, bread, and fresh produce via the Panera app or Panera website. The items will be shipped to your home from your nearest Panera Bread location. (Here in Jersey City, that would be the Hoboken shop). Panera Grocery allows for contactless delivery, Rapid Pick-Up, Drive-Up, and Drive-Thru. Shoppers can also order contact-free delivery via Grubhub.
“With this new service we can help deliver good food and fresh ingredients from our pantry to yours, helping provide better access to essential items that are increasingly harder to come by,” said Panera CEO Niren Chaudhary via press release.
We tried a few addresses in Jersey City and had mixed results. Delivery from the Hoboken shop was available to parts of the Heights and parts of downtown, but not to Bergen-Lafayette, the waterfront, or McGinley Square.
