Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop joined Kushner management to mark the start of construction at One Journal Square. The nearly $1 billion development will consist of two 64-story glass towers that’ll consist of 1,723 rental residences, 45,000 square feet of amenities, and 40,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
“This project is bar none the most significant project we have in Jersey City and probably the most significant project in New Jersey,” said Mayor Fulop. “If you can imagine this being completed in the next 36 months and all the other things in Journal Square moving forward simultaneously you can get a little bit of a glimpse of what it will be in three short years and the most important project to make that a reality is One Journal Square.”
Residents living at One Journal Square will enjoy access to a suite of amenities such as an Olympic-size indoor pool, cold plunge pool with whirlpool spa, sauna/steam rooms, bowling alley, golf simulator, and more.
Target coming to One Journal Square
One Journal Square will include a new public plaza at its base. The plaza will offer green space and seating areas. In addition, Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop has announced that a Target will open at the base of One Journal Square.
As part of this site @Target will be opening in JSQ on the ground floor at 1JSQ. It’s going to be a terrific anchor + huge help for residents in the area on many fronts as we add retail options in walking distance. It’s been a complicated project for sure but we’re finally here https://t.co/K9HRW42fB4
