Get those Valentine’s Day reservations in. After closing its doors last month, waterfront restaurant Battello is ready to reopen. The Newport restaurant announced via social media that it will open for dinner this Friday, February 5.
Battello voluntarily closed its doors on January 3 out of an abundance of caution and in anticipation of stricter COVID-19 guidelines. “Doing so is sensible and allows for us to better protect our employees, clients and guests, without whose patronage and continued support we would not be,” read the restaurant’s Facebook post upon closing.
Located at 502 Washington Boulevard, Battello offers modern Italian cuisine. The seafood friendly menu is the work of owner and chef Ryan Depersio. The restaurant is popular for its cuisine, wine program, and its waterfront views.
Dinner reservations can be made via its website and indoor dining will be limited to 25% capacity per state regulations. Brunch service is expected to return on February 20.
