Tuesday: Marketplace JC is back at the Harborside Atrium with a variety of returning and new vendors. Among them you’ll find Outer Limits Hot Sauce, Taproot Organics, and more. The market is open to everyone and is held every Tuesday from 11am to 3pm.
Tuesday: Get saucy at LITM’s Hot Sauce Party. The evening will feature hot sauce flights, spicy cocktails, a spicy vodka challenge, and spicy tacos.
Tuesday: From blue cheese to manchego, Van Hook Cheese is hosting a beginner’s class on all things cheese. The class will look at how cheese is made as well as its styles and textures. The class will be held at the Van Hook Cheese shop and costs $40/pp.
Wednesday: Learn how to make good, quality wine from the comforts of you own home. The Thirsty Quaker’s Wine-Making class will teach you how to make your own wine and provide you with all the ingredients and equipment you’ll need. Tickets are $75 for two people.
Wednesday: Jersey City’s leading thinkers and stakeholders will gather at St. Peter’s University for the inaugural Jersey City Jersey City Summit on Economic Development, Place-making & Innovation — a series of panels that will discuss everything Jersey City, from local arts to sustainability. (This event was postponed from the previous week’s storm).
Thursday: Join Iceland’s Einstöck Brewer as they discuss the process of beer brewing at Jersey Wine & Spirits. Admission is $25/pp.
Thursday: The Harvard Alumni Architecture and Urban Society is hosting a tour of Journal Squared with international architect Matthias Hollwich of Hollwich Kushner. The tour costs $25/pp and will run from 6.45pm to 8pm.
Friday: The 9th Annual NJ Wine & Food Festival is a weekend celebration of local and national chefs. This year the event will feature various Jersey City/Hoboken chefs including Ryan DePersio (Battello, Kitchen Step, Fascino), Chris Siverson (Maritime Parc), Seadon Shouse (Halifax Hoboken), and David Viana (formerly of Kitchen at Grove Station), and Robbie Felice (Viaggio in Wayne, NJ).
Saturday: JCFamilies is throwing a spring festival by the waterfront this Saturday. The kid-friendly event will include live music, arts & crafts for kids, photo sessions, magic show, local food vendors, and more. An RSVP is required to attend.
