**Another week, another big restaurant opening in Jersey City. This Wednesday, Mathews Food & Drink will open its doors to the public. The restaurant is specializing in “casual American fare” with a cocktail program created by Cody Goldstein of Muddling Memories. **The Shuster Group is hosting its first “City Nights” block party, an adults-only event with food and drinks by Würstbar, Hamilton Pork, Bucket & Bay, and Transmission, among others. **Bucket & Bay Craft Gelato is hosting a series of gelato-making classes for adults and children this month. Classes range from a gelato-making workshop to a special cider week class. **A new Target store is opening on Varick and Greenwich, just steps away from the WTC PATH hub in Tribeca. The store will soft open on Wednesday, October 5 with plenty of pop-up stores offering a variety of services from free food to free manicures. —Observer
