New York’s Naya Middle Eastern Counter & Grill is coming to the Jersey City waterfront. The fast-casual eatery is opening its first JC outpost in the former Potbelly space at 15 Exchange Place.
Naya specializes in healthy Middle Eastern cuisine. Its menu includes rolls, bowls, and salads that can be customized to your liking. Protein options run the gamut from beef shawarma to kafta lamb. There are also a variety of hot appetizers such as a beef dumplings (kibbe), mini pies with spinach (fatayer), and an empanada-like pastry stuffed with halloumi cheese (Sambousik Jebne).
Naya Middle Eastern Counter was founded in 2010. It has locations in New York and New Jersey. The Jersey City outpost will run a variety of promos on opening week. For instance, the first 50 guests will get a free bowl on Tuesday, March 12. Meanwhile, from March 12 through March 15, you’ll get 50% off entrees for the entire day. Proceeds from the discount will benefit Jersey City-based York Street Project.
