Mordi’s Schnitzel Truck has been a Jersey City staple since 2014.
Specializing in Israeli street food, Mordi’s has been a part of countless markets, street fairs, and food fests throughout downtown. Now Mordi’s is gearing up to open its first shop in Bergen-Lafayette.
Located at 320 Communipaw Avenue, Mordi’s Sandwich Shop will deliver the same deliciousness you’ve come to expect from the food truck, but with a slightly expanded menu.
“We will have all the schnitzel and pita along with some signature sandwiches,” says chef and owner Mordechai Chichportiche.
At launch, the sandwich shop will offer breakfast and lunch specials. Dinner will come soon after.
Down the line we’ll also have collaborations with other local businesses and even sell deli items, says Chichportiche.
The best part is that fans won’t have to wait too long for the storefront to open. Mordi’s Sandwich Shop is expected to make its debut by mid to late May.
