Back in March — days before New Jersey’s shelter-at-home regulations kicked in — we had the chance to visit newly opened Moge Tee in Newport. The cafe, which has locations in New York City, had just opened at 564 Washington Boulevard. (They’re located between Chef Tan and Menya Sandaime).
Fortunately, Moge Tee Newport made it through the pandemic and they’re absolutely worth a visit. (They also deliver via Uber Eats and Hungry Panda). The cafe offers a wide variety of tea with a menu that features fruit tea, milk tea, bubble tea, and cheese tea. The latter is a cold tea topped with a foamy layer of milk and cream cheese. (It tastes so much better than it sounds). For those days you don’t want tea, Moge Tee Newport also offers coffee, pastries, and fruit.

Although indoor seating is still not allowed in New Jersey, Moge Tee is actually very spacious with individual tables, a communal table, and a bleacher-style seating area. (The entire section is currently closed due to COVID-19 restrictions). They’re open Tuesdays through Sundays from 12pm to 7pm.
