Popular ice cream shop Milk Sugar Love has announced it’s closing its Jersey City Heights storefront effective immediately. Its flagship location at 19 McWilliams Place in Hamilton Park will remain open.
Milk Sugar Love opened its Heights location at 394 Palisade Avenue in the spring of 2019. Operated by chef and owner Emma Taylor, the ice cream shop offers a variety of unique and seasonal ice cream flavors such as Leche Flan, Alfajores n’ Cream, and Matcha Oreo. The ice cream shop is also known for its cupcakes, brownies, ice cream sandwiches, and hot chocolates.
Taylor initially launched the business by selling ice cream at local Jersey City Farmers Markets. In 2013, she opened the first Milk Sugar Love at Hamilton Park. She also competed in Food Network’s Chopped Sweets Tournament in 2019.
