Palisade Avenue is about to get a lot sweeter. Milk Sugar Love announced over the weekend that it’s bringing its flavor-packed, organic ice cream to The Heights.
The Hamilton Park-based ice cream shop — which has been a Jersey City staple since it first opened in 2014 — plans to open its second location at 394 Palisade Avenue.
Unlike the current ice cream shop at 19 McWilliams Place, the new Milk Sugar Love Jersey City Heights location will have seating, so you’ll be able linger and enjoy your favorite flavors right inside the shop. The Palisade Avenue location will also feature more soft serve options than the current shop.
Otherwise, the Heights location will be similar to the Hamilton Park shop serving 12 ice cream flavors and featuring a full espresso menu with drip coffee courtesy of Stumptown Coffee.
Over the years, Milk Sugar Love has gained an army of followers thanks to its unique and delicious flavors like Maple Bacon Toffee, Matcha Brownie, PB Fudge, and Thai Tea. They also specialize in seasonal flavors like Coquito and Carmen Rosa’s Dominican Cake.
Milk Sugar Love will be a few steps away from Choc-o-Pain and Lo-Fi, both of which opened in the Heights last summer.
The new ice cream shop is expected to open this sometime in the spring.
