Jersey City has a new spot to get your taco Tuesday on. Bayonne’s Mezcal Kitchen recently opened at 665 Newark Avenue, steps away from the Five Corners Plaza.
The new restaurant is serving up a mix of traditional Mexican dishes that range from spicy pork burritos ($13) to mole enchiladas with Oxaca cheese ($15). There’s also a wide range of fajitas ($20 to $23), tacos ($10 to $14), and huaraches ($12 to $17).
The BYOB restaurant also has a list of virgin cocktails which you can enjoy sans alcohol or which you can “spike” with your liquor of choice. In addition, they carry Mexican Coca-Cola, Jarritos, Fanta, and other soft drinks.
On Friday nights, Mezcal Kitchen will also host live performances on its small stage.
