Newport Centre’s dining scene continues to expand.
The latest eatery to come to the mall is Melt Shop, a fast-casual chain that specializes in “melted” sandwiches.
With locations in New York, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota, this will be Melt Shop’s second New Jersey outpost. (They currently have a shop in Rockaway, NJ).
Their Newport menu includes classic grilled cheese sandwiches alongside chicken melts (pictured), burger melts, and signature melts such as a turkey melt and roasted veggie melt.
Sandwich prices range from $4.99 for the Grilled Cheese to $8.99 for the Buffalo Chicken Melt. Melt Shop also offers chicken tenders, various sauces (e.g. truffle mayo), shakes, and a menu for kids.
Melt Shop will be located in the mall’s 3rd floor food court adjacent to Taste of India.
Other eateries that have recently opened in Newport include Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar, Obox Sushi, and The Cheesecake Factory.
