A new public park has opened in the Hamilton Park neighborhood.
Located adjacent to 485 Marin, Marin Green offers over an acre of new green space for both 485 Marin residents and the general public.
The park features a grassy lawn, tables/seating, children’s play area with swings, a slide, and a jungle gym, and a small dog park for Jersey City’s four-legged residents. It was developed by KRE Group and designed by Melillo & Bauer Associates.
“The City’s newest public park, Marin Green, provides additional space for children to play and neighbors to meet,” said Jersey City Mayor Steven M. Fulop via a press release. “The City has made it a priority to provide new, green amenities, such as parks and bike paths, to our residents, and by working with developers we can continue to offer various options that strive to meet the needs of our residents.”
485 Marin brings 397 rental units to the area. The building opened in September and is currently over 90% leased.
Marin Green isn’t the only public space developed by KRE Group. Just last summer KRE Group unveiled Magnolia Landing — home to Marketplace JC — in the renovated plaza located adjacent to its Journal Squared tower.
