Brazilian sweets have arrived in Hamilton Park. Klado House of Brigadeiros is now open at 232.5 Pavonia Avenue. (They’re in the tiny retail space located next to Madame Claude Wine).
Brigadeiros are a traditional Brazilian dessert also known as Brazilian truffles. They’re generally made of condensed milk, cocoa powder, and butter with an outer layer of chocolate sprinkles. Casa Klado owners Jen Prado and Jesse Klee offer a variety of brigadeiros ranging from classic chocolate to s’mores. Each brigadeiro is about 80 calories, so you shouldn’t feel too guilty about eating a few. (You can see the full list of nutritional information on their website).

For Prado and Klee, the opening of Klado House of Brigadeiros is extra sentimental. The couple used to live in the apartment above their forthcoming shop. In fact, it was at Hamilton Square where the married couple came up with the idea for their business.
Klados’ founders are also the stars of the Discovery Channel’s new reality show, “I Quit.” The show chronicles the individuals behind six new businesses as they quit their 9-to-5 jobs to launch their own businesses.
In addition to the shop, you can also place orders for delivery via their website and follow them on Instagram.
