Klado House of Brigadeiros is starting a brigadeiros club here in Jersey City. The subscription service (you can sign up here) brings a curated box of 12 brigadeiros straight to your door each month. (You can also opt to receive your box every 3, 6, or 9 months).
Brigadeiros are bite-sized Brazilian sweets that are a cross between a fudge ball and truffle. Owner Jen Prado opened Klado House last fall at 232.5 Pavonia Avenue in Hamilton Park. All of the brigadeiros at Klado House are handmade and rolled in a variety of toppings that range from cayenne hot chocolate to coconut.
For the subscription service, Prado has taken inspiration from her travels and designed each box to take you on a culinary journey. Each box will be different and include exclusive flavors like Figazi (Fig Rose Water), Hair of the Llama (white chocolate), and Matcha Libre (Matcha). Subscribers will also get special perks like members-only flavors and discounts.
Brigadeiro fans can also try Prado’s treats for dessert at recently opened Brazilian restaurant Tamborim Jersey City at 130 Newark Avenue.
