1: COVID-19 count in Jersey City

Jersey City currently has 5,144 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 282 deaths. The number of new daily cases has somewhat flattened, but has yet to dip below 100 per day. —COVID-19 JC Stats

2: Boil water advisory for Jersey City 

A construction crew on Route 7 in Kearny ruptured a 36″ pipe that feeds water into Jersey City. As a result, many parts of Jersey City lost water for most of Tuesday. As of 1am on April 29, Suez Water indicates that pressure should be back to normal in Jersey City and Hoboken. Residents are being advised to boil water before consuming. —Suez NJ

3: Coronavirus cases in the state of New Jersey

4: Homeowners can push back property tax payments one month

Governor Phil Murphy has signed an executive order permitting municipal governments to extend the grace period for property tax payments from May 1 to June 1. This allows homeowners to pay their taxes a month after they are due without incurring interest or penalties. —Press release

5: Torico reopens today

Family-run ice cream shop Torico’s will reopen today. The shop will offer pickup or delivery from the hours of 1pm to 8pm.

  • A walk-up center is located at the Bethune Center at 140 MLK Drive.

  1. Hi, the COVID-19 testing site at 465 Marin Blvd. next to the fire station is still open; I just passed it this morning.
