Love to dance? The Jersey City Ballroom is hosting a grand re-opening party this Saturday to celebrate its new digs. The dance studio is still located on the 3rd floor of the Brunswick Center, but in a new space that’s double the size of their former suite.
“We decided to move into the bigger space because we have more students and we’re offering more classes and dance opportunities to better fit their needs,” says co-owner Shimkiri. “We love being a part of this neighborhood and are looking forward to expanding our dance community.”
Classes are already being held in the new studio and students range from wedding-bound couples to newbies with two left feet.
Saturday’s re-opening party is an open invitation to check out the new space and find out what the Jersey City Ballroom is all about. The studio will offer drinks, wine, snacks, and vegan treats sponsored by neighboring Tea NJ.
There will be a free dance class at 7:30pm and live music by Jersey City’s Matty D. from 8pm to 9pm. At 9pm there will be dance performances, including the studio’s own Latin Student Performance Team.
