The week is only starting, but this weekend promises to be very busy in Jersey City, so make sure to keep these dates free.
**First up we have the All About Downtown Street Fair (Saturday, September 19th) — my personal favorite event in downtown Jersey City. There will be food, crafts, and music galore at the event, which runs from Grove Plaza to Jersey Avenue (on Newark Avenue). This will be the event’s fifth year and it will run two hours longer than previous years (11am till 8pm). This is Jersey City’s “it” event and every vendor, restaurant, food truck, artist, and musician is scheduled to be there. —All About Downtown
**Registration for the T-Mobile Newport Liberty Half Marathon ends this Tuesday, September 15th at 11.59pm. Registration costs $50 and the race takes place Sunday, September 20th at 8.30am. If you miss the cut-off date, there will be same-day, on-site registration at 6.30am. Same-day registration will cost $55. The USATF-certified course starts in Newport and cuts through parts of downtown Jersey City, Liberty State Park, and the Jersey City waterfront.
