Hudson Pride Center is getting a new home in Jersey City. The non-profit announced that it’s teaming up with Jersey City-based Lord, Abbett & Co. to build a new LGBTQ+ community center. The investment management company will contribute $700,000 to ensure Hudson Pride Center can open its new facility in Journal Square.
The community-based organization, which has been serving Hudson County since 1993, had been operating out of Christ Hospital. However, the organization went virtual as a result of the pandemic.

Hudson Pride Center is responsible for organizing major events like Jersey City Pride, Hoboken Pride Week, and Lez Fest JC.
