Hudson Hall revamps menu
Hudson Hall has revamped its menu with some new seasonal entrees. Some of the new items include Smoked & Pan-Seared Scallops ($28), Pastrami Seasoned Salmon ($24), Smoked Half Chicken ($24), Duck Confit ($24), and for vegans — a Cauliflower Steak ($19). This comes with the announcement of new chef, Klaus Kronsteiner. —Hudson Hall

Food & Wine visits Piggyback Bar
Food & Wine recently visited Exchange Place’s “shiny new mall” and gave chef Leah Cohen’s Piggyback Bar a glowing review. They were impressed by the “near-perfect” curry crab cake, the ceviche, and the Korean Honey Butter Winges, which they described as better than Talde’s. A cool tidbit is that we learn that Piggyback Bar sources its seafood from Samuels Seafood in Philadelphia (for those of you who like to know). —Food & Wine

Federal govt may pull support for Gateway Project
The Trump administration suggested it may back out of a 2-year agreement to fund the much-needed New Jersey/New York Gateway Project. Both states would use federal loans to pay for the project, which the Dept of Transportation now views as part of the federal govt’s contribution. The DoT wants to see local funds — not federal — in order to consider the Gateway Project a serious plan. —Crain’s
