Update: They’re now slated to open early July and will offer a complimentary house drink or frozen cocktail on their opening week.
A new bar is opening at 150 Bay Street this Thursday.
Located in the former Beat Street space, Headroom Bar & Social is a new neighborhood bar offering liquor, beer, and wine in a setting that — according to the bar’s website — is “beautiful but edgy and always loose and fun.”
Music will be a mix of pop hits from various decades and happy hour will run from 4pm to 7pm with a second happy hour round from 12am to 1am every weekday.
The bar plans to offer comfort food along with grilled cheese sandwiches from neighboring MeltDown.
In the past few years, the corner of 150 Bay has gone through numerous transformations from Transmission to Beat Street. Here’s hoping Headroom Bar & Social has the winning formula.
(Note that their website says they opened June 21, but the place is still boarded up with a sign saying they’ll open Thursday, June 28. The same date given on their Instagram account).
