The Hard Grove saga may be coming to an end. After moving from its original location on the corner of Grove and Columbus and later moving from 143 Newark Avenue and subsequently moving from 328 Montgomery, it now appears that the Cuban restaurant is opening at the former Port-O Lounge space at 286 First Street (just off Newark Avenue).
The address can be confirmed by a Facebook post the restaurant made last month.
If you recall, Port-O Lounge closed last fall and in recent weeks some construction activity had been spotted at the former tapas restaurant. Anyone who ever ate at Port-O Lounge will also remember that the restaurant had a cozy outdoor patio/area, which will be a nice addition for Hard Grove.
There’s no word yet on an opening date, but we’ve reached out to the restaurant for more information.
