Newport’s dining scene is about to expand. In addition to the recent opening of spots like Roast’d Coffee (10 River Drive South) and Dun Huang Noodle (180 River Drive), three additional eateries are slated to open this year.
Seafood restaurant Blue Anchor Bar and Kitchen is opening a 2,210-square-foot restaurant in the base of The Beach building (180 River Drive). It’ll feature indoor and outdoor space, including patio seating overlooking the New York skyline. It’s slated to open this summer. Likewise, Greek restaurant Efi’s Gyro has signed a 2,746-sqaure-foot lease in Newport’s forthcoming residential building debuting next month.
Another major restaurant coming to Newport is Solaz. The Mediterranean restaurant has signed the largest retail lease (10,640-square-feet) at the Pacific residential building. They’re on track to open in 2025.
Outside of dining, there are also plans to bring a recreation studio PingPod, Stylebegin Barbershop, and Pawsome Pet Spa.
