And now riding the ferry is easier than ever thanks to NY Waterway’s new ferry dock located outside the Harborside Terminal near Exchange Place. Harborside ferries can get you to either Battery Park/Brookfield Place or 39th Street/Midtown in as little as six minutes flat.
Each ferry provides plenty of elbow room, ultra-fast reliable service, and Instagram-worthy views of New York and Jersey City to kick start your day. During inclement weather, you can wait for the ferry inside the Harborside terminal where you can grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner at a variety of shops and restaurants such as the Piggyback Bar, the Whealth Cafe, or Tidal Poke Co.
Service between Harborside and Battery Park/Brookfield Place runs every weekday from 6:40am to 9pm, with ferries departing every 15 minutes. Fares run $6 for a single pass, $56.50 for a 10-trip ticket, or $196 for a monthly pass.
Service between Harborisde and 39th Street/Midtown also operate on weekdays from 6:50am to 9:50am and 4:08pm to 7:38 pm, with ferries departing every 30 minutes. Fares are $8 for a single ticket, $75 for a 10-trip ticket, or $274.50 for a monthly. A free connecting shuttle at 39th street makes drop-offs throughout various parts of the city.
The Harborside terminal is located at 210 Hudson street and is within walking distance of the Path Exchange Place station, the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail, and select NJ Transit buses. It’s NY Waterway’s fourth ferry terminal in Jersey City alongside ports at Paulus Hook, Liberty Harbor, and Port Liberte.
