Residents of Jersey City’s SoHo West neighborhood (south of Hoboken, west of New York City) will soon have a new grocery store in their vicinity.
Fresca Gourmet recently announced plans to open at 300 Coles Street, inside the Cast Iron Lofts building.
The 5,000 square-foot store will offer hot food, deli sandwiches, wraps, salads, prepared meals, and a broad range of everyday groceries.
This is Fresca Gourmet’s second Jersey City location following its original storefront at at 115 Town Square Place in downtown Newport.
Fresca Gourmet joins a growing list of retailers that have set up shop in SoHo West, including Brewshot, a coffee shop/bar and restaurant, Cycle Mix, a spin cycle establishment, and Art House Productions, a non-profit arts facility that includes a 99-seat black box theatre.
SoHo West was developed by Manhattan Building Company. The neighborhood’s third residential building — SoHo Lofts — is currently 75 percent leased.
Fresca Gourmet is expected to open this fall.
