Ela Greek Kitchen is officially open. The new eatery is located in the former Sweetberry Bowls space at 179 Newark Avenue along the Jersey City Pedestrian Plaza. They soft opened July 7 and will celebrate their official opening on July 11 at 4:30pm.
The restaurant is operated by the same team behind Buddy’s JC. However, whereas Buddy’s spotlights classic comfort food, Ela focuses solely on Greek/Mediterranean food.
Ela Greek Kitchen Menu
The team behind Ela Greek Kitchen have posted a menu on their website. The menu is divided into appetizers, yeeros (gyros), platters, kalamakia (souvlaki), and salads. There are also a few dips including hummus, tzatziki, and melitzanosalata (eggplant dip).
All items are comfortably under $20. The only exception is the mixed grill ($40), which includes Greek salad, French fries, pita/tzatziki, your choice of yeero, 2 pork souvlaki, 2 chicken souvlaki, bifteki, and loukaniko. (You can browse the full menu on ToastTab for pickup).
