Newport Centre is getting a new tenant. Signage is up for Dick’s Sporting Goods, which is opening in the second floor of the mall near the H&M. The store offers a wide range of sports equipment, apparel, and gear. The announcement was made this week via the Newport Centre Instagram account.
Dick’s Sporting Goods is one of the leading retailers of sporting products. It operates about 853 stores across the United States. It’s unclear if the Jersey City location will include the retailer’s “House of Sport” concept. The experiential concept includes a rock climbing wall, batting cage, and more interactive shopping experiences.
However, before you get too excited, the store isn’t expected to open till fall of 2025. It joins the likes of Primark, which is also expected to open sometime in 2025.
