Construction will soon begin on Parkview Apartments, a two-tower residential complex planned for Bergen-Lafayette.
Located at 87-99 Van Horne Street and 72-78 Woodward Street, Parkview Apartments will stand seven stories tall and include two levels of parking. The buildings will both overlook neighboring Berry Lane Park. They’ll house a total of 170 rental units including 65 one-bedroom, 95 two-bedroom, and 10 three-bedroom units. The building will also include 18 units of moderate-incoming housing.
As part of the project, a new road will connect the dead ends of Woodward Street and Van Horne Street. Meanwhile, pedestrian access to the nearby Garfield Avenue Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Station is also in the works.
Developer Wallabout Realty Holdings is working with New Jersey-based firms Dresdner Robin and Monteforte Architectural Studio to ensure the buildings meet city regulations and complement Berry Lane Park.
Construction on Parkview Apartments will commence in the next few days with a completion date of late 2021.
