Clove Garden of India will soft open this week at 353 Third Street in the former home of Third & Vine. It’ll be one of the Village’s first Indian restaurants.
A reader informed us of the forthcoming opening and we’ve confirmed with management at Clove Garden that the restaurant has plans to soft open this Thursday or Friday.
The Clove Garden website lists some information about the new restaurant. Its menu is pretty diverse with South Indian specialties, tandoor options, Biryani entrees, and various chicken, lamb, and seafood dishes.
Vegetarians and vegans will also be glad to know that the restaurant will offer many non-meat options. They range from cauliflower-based dishes to entrees with cottage cheese or lentils. Overall, it seems the menu will focus on the healthy side of Indian food by using fresh spices and ingredients. (Hopefully this means we won’t see overly greasy dishes).
As far as prices are concerned, they range from $3 for soups/apps dishes to $22 for some of the larger entrees. However, everything is generally priced under $20. (Just keep in mind that the menu and pricing can change as the restaurant soft opens).
Clove Garden is one of many new spots opening up in the area. We’re also awaiting the opening of Bang Cookies, Milk and Cream Bar, and Emma’s Journal Square.
