A new bagel spot appears to be coming to Grove Street. Not much is known about the new storefront, but a sign announcing City Bagel Deli and Grill is now visible outside the historic house at 301 Grove Street (next to Ibby’s Falafel and just blocks away from the forthcoming Shake Shack Jersey City).
301 Grove Street is a 1-family house that was built in 1830, according to Zillow. The two-story Greek revival offers 1,889 square feet of space and a 1,799 square foot lot. Originally, Portuguese restaurant Broa was going to move into this location. However, it now appears City Bagel will be taking over.
It’s unclear if the bagel shop is coming to 301 Grove or to a nearby location as the banner doesn’t mention an address or website. We’ll keep a close eye on any developments.
