It’s official. Jersey City’s bike-sharing program will launch next month with 350 bikes at 35 stations, and it’ll work in tandem with the popular Citi Bike program across the Hudson in New York, according to a report by NJ.com. In recent months the city has added 22 new miles of bike lanes in preparation for the bike-share program. Price-wise, the program will cost $149 for an annual membership. Day and weekly memberships will also be available with similar pricing to New York.
Citi is the title sponsor while Horizon Foundation of New York, SUEZ North America, CarePoint Health, and Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health will be founding sponsors. —Citi Bike Jersey City via WSJ
