A new Chinese restaurant is coming to downtown Jersey City. According to a construction permit that’s been posted on the now-closed H2O Aquarium storefront, the interior of the former aquarium shop is undergoing renovations to become a “Chinese hot spot restaurant” [sic]. It’s likely the permit meant to read Chinese hot pot restaurant, which would actually be a nice addition to the area. The restaurant will be located on 523 Jersey Avenue between Newark and Columbus.
