Chick-fil-A is coming to downtown Jersey City and the first 100 customers to line up during the store’s grand opening next week will get a year’s worth of Chick-fil-A meals on the house.
The restaurant is slated to open next Wednesday, November 11th in the dining pavilion (3rd floor) of the Newport Centre Mall. Fans looking to secure their year’s worth of free Chick-fil-A meals will be allowed to line up on the roof of the Newport Centre Mall parking garage starting at 9.30pm on Tuesday, November 10th. Chick-fil-A will provide security, entertainment, restroom access, and food to all participants who decide to camp out. If there are more than 100 people lined up on Tuesday night, then all 100 spots will be elected by a drawing and the 100 winners will still have to camp out to secure their prizes.
From November 9th through November 12th, the Newport Mall location will also collect children’s books between the hours of 10am through 9.30pm to benefit Junior Achievement of New Jersey. The books will be placed in the restaurant’s Book House and serve as a free library exchange for local kids, all made possible via the Chick-fil-A Foundation.
The Newport Chick-fil-A is the second of three NJ locations and comes just weeks after the chain opened its first location across the Hudson in New York City. Newport Mall will also house a new Cheesecake Factory later this December.
