The team behind one of the best Jersey City cafes has opened a new sister location. Cafe Tabarka is now open at 18 Erie Street. The new cafe sits directly between Torico’s and PLNTD in the space formerly occupied by 9 Bar Cafe. While there are plenty of great cafes in the neighborhood, Cafe Tabarka is a solid addition.
The cozy cafe is offering a full menu of coffee, espresso, tea, and lattes. There’s also a small selection of pastries that ranges from croissants to mini cheesecakes. If you’re looking for gluten-free options, we did noticed that Cafe Tabarka had gluten free banana bread when we visited.
The space is on the small side, but very welcoming with wide windows that bring in plenty of natural light. If you’re looking for a cafe where you can write or get a few hours of work done, you’ll be happy to know there are plenty of power outlets spread throughout the cafe.
Currently, the cafe doesn’t appear to have an Instagram or website. However, Google lists their hours as 7:30am to 3:30pm on weekdays and 8am to 3:30pm on weekends. The cafe is closed on Tuesdays.
