A new Mexican restaurant is coming to the Heights. Burundanga is taking over the former Mission Burrito space at 333 Palisade Avenue. The new restaurant is scheduled to open in May.
Sister restaurant to Mezcal Kitchen and La Brujeria, Burundanga will offer a Mexican-inspired menu complete with a BYOB option. It’ll offer indoor dining (following current COVID regulations) as well as backyard dining. Like La Brujeria, Burundanga will also operate 24/7.
As for its namesake, the term “Burundanga” refers to the magical or special ingredient(s) used to make food tasty.
