We know: It’s too early to start thinking about the weekend. However, here’s something to look forward to. Corto will begin offering brunch this weekend.
The Heights-based restaurant will offer a seasonal menu created by Chef Matt Moschella that will feature hearty salads, soups (winter), and sandwiches. Corto co-owner Drew Buzzio gave us a sneak peek at menu items, which could include:
Finocchiona & Pecorino Panino (peperoncino, olive oil, sea salt, bianca bottone) $12; Mortadella & Egg Panino (tomato, lettuce, black pepper, bianca bottone) $13; Egg Frittata (pancetta, onion, tomato, provola) $12; and Prosciuitto & Fior di Latte Panino (basil, tomato, olive oil, strecci) $14.
A few different pastas will also be available.
In addition to brunch, Buzzio tells Jersey City Upfront that Corto is planning a lunch menu (weekdays) that will feature different types of frittatas. The restaurant also plans on making take-out an option in the near future.
We loved Corto’s homemade pastas and sauces, so we’re eager to check out their new brunch/lunch offerings.
Corto is BYOB, so remember to bring your drink of choice this weekend.
