Earlier this year we wrote about a few new restaurants coming to Newport. One of those restaurants is now ready for its closeup. Seafood restaurant Blue Anchor Bar + Kitchen has opened at 166 River Drive located on the ground floor of residential building The Beach in Newport.
Blue Anchor Bar + Kitchen is operated by the same team behind downtown Brooklyn’s Japanese restaurant Teppan Territory. However, whereas the latter focuses on Japanese teppanyaki-style cuisine, Blue Anchor Bar + Kitchen’s main focus is seafood.
Encompassing over 2,200 square feet, Blue Anchor Bar + Kitchen offers patio seating overlooking the New York skyline. It features a seafood-centric menu with locally sourced ingredients that include lobster rolls, a raw bar, and other seasonal offerings. There’s also a curated selection of wines and craft cocktails.
Blue Anchor is open now will be serving a brunch menu on the weekends.
